ABOUT THE BAND
Butch Wax & The Hollywoods is an 8-piece band from St. Louis, MO. Recently voted the #1 Band in Missouri - they have been performing at sold out events throughout the Midwest and United States for 35 years! Butch Wax & The Hollywoods were the featured band for several years at the St. Louis Cardinals home openers and St. Louis Rams tailgate parties. Gene wrote and recorded the St. Louis Sports songs “Gotta Go to Work”; “Let’s Go Blues”; and “Pennant Fever” with Butch Wax and Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Johnnie Johnson. The band performed at the Rams Super Bowl Victory Parade in 2000!

Butch Wax & The Hollywoods band members are Gene Ackmann - Keyboards & Vocals; Tandra Williams – Vocals; Liz Henderson – Vocals; Mike Lutz Drums & Vocals; Richie Daniels – Guitar & Vocals; Rob Miller – Bass Guitar & Vocals; Elliot “Doc” Simpson – Trumpet, Percussion, & Vocals; Sonny McGraw – Sax, Percussion, & Vocals. Frequent guest performers currently with the band and over the years include Theo Peoples from The Four Tops and Temptations; Billy Peek from Rod Stewart Band; Pat Liston from Mama’s Pride, Steve Davis Memories of Elvis; and the late great Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Johnnie Johnson!
